Hello Art Students!
This is the week of April 27 - May 1, 2020 and we will have a few choices for the photography assignment for this week. But first....if you have not already, check out the MRMS Virtual Art Show with artwork from the whole year of Losness Art 7/8 and Art B - 2020. CLICK HERE: https://mrmsstudentartshow2020.weebly.com/ This week we will have 2 choices of subjects to photograph : Portrait or Chalk Drawing But first ......check out some of your fellow classmates recent photography below. Some of you may notice that your photos look different. See if you can notice where I took the editing liberty and cropped some of them for better emphasis, lighting, focus, and on some I applied the Rule of Thirds. If you notice that yours has been edited or cropped, please share your thoughts and opinions with me via email. I would enjoy communicating with you about the editing choices! I don't edit many, maybe 5 or 6. Students should be proud of these works of art they created! But First...... Remember these handouts from a month ago? We are going to start this next assignment by looking at: #1. Rule of Thirds #15 PORTRAIT (of single animal/person) Assignment choices will be explained below: Student Photography Gallery |

Photography Assignment Choices
for week of April 27 -May 1, 2020
#1: PORTRAIT
Photo of one pet or any animal /living creature or one single person (no people groups please).
PHOTOS MUST HAVE:
-Light showing in the eye:
moisture reflects light which shows it's alive and not dehydrated/dead.
-Sufficient Lighting:
best with natural light/outdoors especially sunrise/sunset.
- Do not use flash!
The light from the moisture in the eye causes a bad coloration or funky monster eye.
- Must be in Focus and crop out extras in background.
- At least one of the photos must use the Rule of Thirds cropping technique:
remember horizon lines and subjects are never in the middle; they are offset.
